Chabot holds a Master’s of Public Administration, specializing in Museum Administration, from Southern Illinois University. Chabot has over 30 years experience in non profit administration and has received numerous grants and awards. Chabot is also a founding board member for AADUNA, a diverse literary journal, serves on the grant review board for the United Way of Cayuga County, and is an appointee to Auburn’s Historic and Cultural Sites Commission.

Recognized for building partnerships, Chabot is keenly aware of the ways in which museums work in our communities to offer lifelong learning opportunities, promote civic engagement, and celebrate our cultural heritage. Much of Chabot’s work is now focused on strategic planning and training the next generation of museum leaders. Chabot and her husband Cristofe, a native New Yorker, enjoy living in the Finger Lakes and are especially fond of the abundance of nature’s bounty in the Central New York Region.
