Tom Shannon has served as the Director of Facilities at Dia: Beacon since November 2017 and has recently joined the Asia Society. He has more than 20 years of experience overseeing the daily operations of museum and library campuses as well as managing major building expansions, which have benefitted from his knowledge of the safe handling of collections and exhibition experience.  

Shannon holds a Master Degree in Museum Studies from Syracuse University. His notable expansion projects include the Renzo Piano Workshop’s addition to the Morgan Library and Museum and a major expansion of the Montclair Art Museum where he served as the owner’s representative. 

An avid fisherman, Tom will seize every opportunity to cast a line.
