Tell Your Story and Make Your Case: A Workshop to Build Grant Writing Skills

This is a 2-day virtual workshop held over Zoom; Tuesday, August 30 and Wednesday, August 31 from 10 AM to 12 PM.

In this participatory workshop, MANY Executive Director Erika Sanger will guide attendees through the grant writing process to build skills and develop insights, including analyzing guidelines, outlining narratives, writing statements of need, and developing budgets. Sanger will share examples of successfully funded grant narratives, hints for streamlining work processes, and designing visually appealing attachments.

In her 35-year museum career, Sanger has secured grants from federal, state, foundation, and corporate partners that advanced institutional priorities and funded public programs, facility expansions, endowment and capital campaigns, artist residencies, scholarships, research projects, and staff positions.

Registration

MANY Members $20

Non-members $25

Registration includes a hard-copy grant writing book with more than 30 successfully written local, state, and federal grants from museums across New York State.

Advance registration is required; workshop is limited to 40 participants. Registration closes August 2.
