Conference Registration

Registration Process

Please use our step-by-step instructions below to register for the 2023 conference.

1. Please review the descriptions of the conference workshops, sessions, special events, and capstone experiences before you begin registration.

Click here to see the conference schedule and read session and special event descriptions.

All pre-conference workshops, special events, and capstone experiences require advance registration.

You will be asked to select which conference sessions you are most likely to attend. You will not be held to these choices, but it helps MANY staff determine session rooms based on these responses.

2. Before you begin your registration, log into your MANY profile. Your username is your email address. If you forgot your password, there will be an option to reset it. If you do not have a MANY profile, you will be prompted to create one as part of your registration process.

You can check your MANY membership status here and click here to renew to access the MANY member rate. If you have any questions or difficulties, please email us at info@nysmuseums.org.

3. If you are a presenter or an Award of Distinction recipient, please use the code provided to you by MANY staff to register under the Presenter/Award Recipient registration type.

Didn't get a code? Email conference@nysmuseums.org

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I pay by check?

Yes–when you complete your registration, simply choose the “Invoice Me” option. Early bird registration checks must be postmarked by February 10 and all payments must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2023 or you will be charged the walk-in registration rate.

Checks should be made out to “Museum Association of New York” and mailed to 265 River Street, Troy, NY 12180

2. How can I register additional people from my organization?

Each individual attending the conference needs to register separately.

3. I am a MANY member but the discount is not available…

Please make sure you are logged into your MANY Profile. If you are unsure of your username (email) or password, please contact us via email info@nysmuseums.org or call us at 518-273-3400.

4. I am a Presenter or Award of Distinction recipient and I need to register at the Presenter/Award Recipient level but do not have the code.

Please check your email for the registration code. If you can’t find the original email, please email conference@nysmuseums.org or call us and we will resend the code.

5. What is included in my registration?

Conference registration includes the Sunday opening reception, breakfast and lunch on Monday, two coffee breaks, and breakfast on Tuesday. Saturday pre-conference workshops and special events are an additional fee. Tuesday capstone experiences are free with advance registration required.

6. Can I bring a guest to a special event?

Yes! If you would like to purchase an additional ticket for a guest, please email conference@nysmuseums.org.

7. Will MANY require proof of vaccination or require any mask-wearing?

With the safety of our colleagues foremost in mind, conference attendees are asked to adhere to the CDC and New York State Department of Health guidelines for safe gatherings. The requirements mandated by the host site where the gathering will take place will prevail if they are more stringent than the guidelines offered by the CDC, New York State Department of Health, or MANY.

MANY will rely on the host organization in the administration of those requirements and will notify all attendees of those requirements.

These requirements may include wearing masks appropriately, practicing social distancing, practicing practical sanitation procedures, and any other safe gathering guidelines in place at the time of the conference.
