Conference Special Events

Have fun with friends old and new after the conference sessions end!

All special events require pre-registration during Conference Registration. Space is limited. If you have already registered and would like to join us please email MANY here.

Dinner at The Hollow Bar + Kitchen

Established in 2013, The Hollow Bar + Kitchen is a lauded downtown Albany restaurant and bar, live music and private event venue. Coined as a 'triple threat' by The Alt Weekly, The Hollow is continuously recognized for excellence in food, bar and music.

Join your colleagues for some good food at this downtown Albany hot spot. Ticket includes dinner, beer, and wine.

Eclipse After Party at the New York State Museum

What else to do after sharing a cosmic experience but to join your museum colleagues for an Eclipse After Party on the fourth floor at the New York State Museum. Ticket includes snacks, beer, and wine.

MANY member and Non-members $45 per person

Dinner at the New York State Museum

Enjoy dinner served after hours on the fourth floor of the New York State Museum. Dinner options include: Herb Chicken, Pomodoro Olive Sauce (gluten free), Tofu Vegetable Stir fry (dairy-free/vegan), Penne Pasta Marinara, or a Herb-crusted Roast Beef. 

Tickets include dinner and drink ticket.

Night at the Museums

Explore just a few of Albany's museums and cultural sites. Walk to nearby sites or hop on our shuttle bus.

Stops include:

  • Albany Institute of History & Art
  • Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site
  • Ten Broeck Mansion
  • Underground Railroad Education Center
  • Historic Cherry Hill
  • New York State Capitol Building
  • New York State Education Building
  • and others!

Free to participate, advance registration required. 

This program is supported as part of the DutchCultureUSA FUTURE 400 program by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York.




Conference Cancellation Policy

If for any reason, MANY cancels the conference, we will issue you a full refund. 


If you cancel your registration before Friday April 1, that request must be made in writing via email to conference@nysmuseums.org. We will refund you the full amount of your registration, minus a $45 administrative fee. 


Refunds requested after April 1 will not be granted, including requests made based on absence due to illness, late arrival and/or weather conditions. No refunds will be issued on special event tickets at any point due to restaurants and caterers requiring payment in advance; you are welcome to give or sell them to a colleague attending the conference.


Special event purchases are non refundable; restaurants and caterers require payment in advance.

Video/Photography Policy

By registering for and attending our Annual Conference "Giving Voice to Value" you grant the Museum Association of New York (MANY) and its authorized representatives permission to film, photograph, or otherwise record your participation in the conference and associated special events.


You further agree that such images, photographs, and recordings may be used by MANY without your prior approval in any form and for any lawful purpose including, without limitation, promoting MANY. Such use will not entitle you to any credit or compensation.


You release MANY, its officers, and employees from any liability connected with the use of any image, photograph, or recording taken during MANY's Annual Conference and associated special events.

Conference Code of Conduct

The Museum Association of New York (MANY) is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming conference experience for all participants. All attendees are expected to follow this Code of Conduct, which applies to all pre-conference workshops, concurrent sessions, special events, and capstone experiences.
